Browser remote desktop questions.
- Which browsers work?
- Current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, on desktop and on phones and tablets.
- Do I need an extension?
- No. The controller is an ordinary web page; there is no extension or plug-in.
- Is a browser session as secure as an app?
- The session is encrypted end to end between your browser and the computer, the same as from the app. Our server only introduces them.
- Can I use it on my phone?
- Yes. Tap to click, drag to move, two fingers to scroll, long-press for right-click, and an on-screen keyboard with modifier keys.
- Why would I install the desktop app at all?
- To make that computer reachable, or for the sharpest picture: the desktop app decodes hardware HEVC over a native connection.
